Who we are
FlatWitness is a service that helps renters document the condition of their home at move-in and move-out. The service is operated as a personal project based in Denmark.

What data we collect
When you use FlatWitness we collect:
- Your full name
- Your property address
- Your landlord's name
- Your deposit amount
- Photos you upload of your home
- Notes you write about the condition of rooms
- Timestamps of when photos were taken
Why we collect it
We collect this data solely to generate your inspection report. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers located in the EU (Sweden). Photos are stored in encrypted cloud storage. Payment is handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
How long we keep your data
We keep your inspection data for 12 months after your last inspection. After that it is automatically deleted. You can request deletion at any time.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of incorrect data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to how we process your data

Cookies
We use minimal cookies. Stripe sets cookies for payment processing and fraud prevention. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
